Serving a warning with the superb artwork and an eerie introduction; it is clear this band promises otherworldly grotesqueries and when those first sinewy riffs hit the power can be felt. Waves of gargantuan drums and foul guitars churn forth a malignant instrumental stringiness while equally vile vocals putridly seep through the mix. Everything about this screams of crypt-rotten death metal for the old school maniacs. Cancer Void have a bit more variety in tempo and some interesting flare to their songwriting which definitely sets them out from the crowd, so expect this debut to grab your attention and really pound the bands abilities into your cranium.
From the bludgeoning rhythm sections with the drumming barbarity and bass savagery through to the maniacal riffing and murderous vocals; everything Cancer Void does feels ruthlessly executed and full of intensity. The energetic and yet often gloomy dynamic is truly exhilarating. You will be thrown seamlessly from tomb-splintering grooves to rabid thrashing morbidity. The sheer amount of diversity in twenty minutes while remaining purely old school death metal is certainly no easy feat and yet Cancer Void masterfully executed this putrid abomination on their first attempt! This is your chance to be part of a mummifying new experience as this abhorrent band launches itself into the underground like a fleshy torpedo. Prepare for a listen that is as punishing as it is gripping, this is a heavy one.
