Originally released in 2001, this is a highly sought after reissue of the self-titled debut album from atmospheric doom maestros Cult Of Luna. The debut record garnered critical appreciation and underground popularity for the Scandinavian 8-piece. The debut is an oddity in the discography, due to a larger hardcore punk and doom metal influence and is substantially heavier than their later material. Later releases ''Salvation'' and ''Somewhere Along The Highway'' are deservingly regarded as the two best albums post-metal has to offer but this debut no doubt contains some of the band''s best work. .
