Here, Thornspawn channels their most purely Black Metal vision to date, razor-sharp riffs slice through an atmosphere steeped in frost and malice, while relentless percussion hammers with unholy precision. The first half of the album is a merciless onslaught, conjuring the cold militancy of mid-2000s French Black Metal, while flashes of bestial fury erupt in tracks like “Slaughtered Death, Mutilated Remains (The Hexvore Approaches).” As the record unfolds, moments of measured, ominous pacing deepen the sound, creating an oppressive and sinister weight that only magnifies the impact of its more violent surges.
